He was found dead in a bordello, where his body was riddled with bullets. Buddy Hodges, the actor who played Fallout Boy, insinuates that he had a special relationship with Richter.

He was later mentioned as a possible choice to play Radioactive Man in a feature film. However, the director of the film pointed out that Richter was "73 years old and dead."
