Itchy & Scratchy episodes

Generally in the past we haven't been putting Appearances sections on Itchy & Scratchy episodes. I've always had the impression that for I&S episodes, the infobox was considered sufficient, and they seem to have a style all their own apart from the rest of the wiki. That said, though, if you think it's a good idea to tweak that style a bit and start putting Appearances sections on them, I'm OK with it. Just please let me know, and we can both get it on it and get all of the I&S episodes done so that they're consistent with each other. If you think, for instance, that the I&S episodes should have Appearances sections so that their style is more consistent with the rest of the wiki, that's fine by me, but I think that if we're going to start, we should go ahead and get them all done in fairly short order. Hope I didn't put you out too badly by raising the task list, but I think it's a good idea as it will get everyone on the same wavelength. I present myself as a case in point. Also, a list of tasks (especially done ones) 1) shows that we're making continual progress in improving the wiki and 2) sends a really powerful message to w***a that they can stick it because we can make a damn good wiki without their involvement. Matter of fact, if you do a Google search for recent topics on The Simpsons (say, Thicker than Waters), we're starting to show up three or even FOUR times in the first few search results, while w***a is either further down the list or nowhere to be found. -- Mythigator 17:03, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Question...

Two of the videogames from "Marge Be Not Proud" have typos in their names. Should I make the pages using the typo'd name, or using the name they're supposed to have? eg:

One of the games is called "Celebrity Tutopsy" but that's an obvious typo and the title should be "Celebrity Autopsy." So, which one should I name the page?

How minor is minor?

I think we have to decide wich characters we should create pages for. Are we only creating character pages with speaking characters?

Non-canon title

Shouldn't the non-canon title be "Non-Canon Appearances". Homer Simpson is "Non Canon Appearance", and Bart is "Non Canon Appearances", Maggie is "Non-Canon Appearances", and Marge is "Non-canon". Merging

I wouldn't take any further action in the merge without notifying TheShdaowCrow and RRabbit42. They are the main ones you will have to convince. Any blocks will be unblocked by me and I will speak with them if they are in disagreement with you, to be able to discuss it. However, chat is a rarity for them, so you will have to message them on their talk pages. Also, just because you have Randomno does mean I will want to leave. And on some comments I saw in chat (sorry was sleeping at the time), we have our own awards system too. We recently introduced more achievements that were previously disable, and we have seen an increase in editing, with very little spam editing. Any spam editing was very easy to control also, so if you're capable of getting it, I would suggest it. But then again, that might be me helping the enemy. Also, if we overtake Simpsons Wiki, does that mean revenue would actually be high enough for admin payment (as minor as it might be}? Jhonevans 16:19, 23 January 2012 (EST)

Category:Images - Locations

I've been adding that lately because many images do have people in some sort of place. For character slates, we wouldn't include it, but for most pictures we should. As I said to Fred, adding locations to every image with a location is like adding objects to every image, as they all feature something, be it a tree or a t-shirt. Sorry about the oops with Bart Simpson #71 and thanks for the catch. Book Category Name Change?

Hope I don't come off like I'm nitpicking because you're really kicking butt with these categories. :-) Anyway, this is about the "Flanders' bibles" category. Back when Ale started all those articles and we were working on writing them, we figured that not all of the books seen on the bookshelf were Bibles. So a more descriptive and more accurate category name would be something like "Flanders family Bibles and religious books". I'm not sure how to change the name of the template without making a mess, and you've got a WIP tag on the "root" Books navbox template, so I figured that mentioning the change to you was the most appropriate way to go. Hope it's not too much trouble!

Also, it looks like you're working through the books alphabetically by title in getting them categorized. When you get to What Would Jesus View?, it can go under the "Flanders family Bibles and religious books" category. That placement makes the most sense, and it's looking there's going to be a boatload of books under "Other", so it seems that anything that can be done to place books elsewhere would be a good thing. -- Mythigator 09:07, 30 May 2012 (EDT)

The other could probably be split some time in the future. Maybe categories like "Simpson family books" for those by the family, and one for Lisa's books from Virtual Springfield.
