*All merchandise articles be moved to the new wiki and redirects are made for major merchandise such as board games, box sets etc.
*Comics are on the merchandise wiki but the comic stories are on the main wiki.
*Books that are factual and not stories are merchandise. If a book is set up like a story, it's media and therefore stays on the main wiki.
I wholeheartedly agree. While I am slightly hesitant to the idea of allowing articles about comics, books and games, I think the general approach to this wiki should be very similar to that of Star Wars Merchandise Wiki's if such information is to be included, in that all information regarding the subjects — comics and books, in this particular case — should have less to do with the stories contained within and more about the products themselves. That is, information regarding authors, artists, publishing, page counts, ISBN, and even brief descriptions of the stories, but not full synopses and characters. That should be left for Wikisimpsons to deal with. Afterall, the goal of this wiki is not to overthrow Wikisimpsons by any means, but rather to have the two wikis working together in unison. This method, to me, makes the most sense and has enough justification for both wikis to contain articles about the subjects above.

Sorry if I missed this earlier, but who's going to run this?
That should indeed be very possible with the use of Pywikipedia, though I'm somewhat against using a bot for this. Having briefly browsed through several dozen merchandise articles, I've found a great deal of them to be below standard, and manually copying these articles over by hand would be a great way to improve their content to fit with the merchandise wiki's ideals. It would also give us an opportunity to update the infobox templates accordingly. Yes, it would probably take us quite a bit longer to transfer them using this method in comparison to the bot idea, but overall, I can't help but feel that it would be worth a little extra time and work.

I don't think it's been mentioned, though I assumed Phinbart as he's head of Project Merchandise. I don't think supergeeky was planning on running the site, though I may be wrong
I also assumed Phinbart would be the merchandise wiki's first admin. I honestly didn't have any plans of "running" this project anytime soon. My work on ShoutWiki (the wiki farm itself and a few new side-wiki projects which haven't been announced yet, not to mention trying to bring the IRC and blog back online) and Darthipedia has been keeping me pretty busy as of late, and in addition to SW and Darth, I've been slowly trying to build an independently-hosted Pink Floyd Wiki. Not to mention my real-life endeavors.
While I'm definitely going to make time to help the merchandise wiki, "running" everything is simply out of the question for the time being. And Phinbart is far more qualified than I am, anyway.

That's pretty unlikely, assuming we'll be using those inter-wiki redirects Solar is talking about. I'd also like to see us become associates with Simpsons Collector Sector and rallying a few of their users at some point in the future, though it's probably a bit early to even consider partnering with other sites.
